SUMMARY:Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro
DESCRIPTION:Opera by W. A. Mozart | Libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte \nA revival of the Festival 2012 production. Sung in Italian with English supertitles \nConductor: Giancarlo Andretta\nNicholas Carter (June 26\, 30) \nDirector: Michael Grandage \nFigaro: Brandon Cedel\nSusanna: Hera Hyesang Park\nCount: Germán Olvera\nCountess: Amanda Woodbury\nBartolo: Péter Kálmán\nMarcellina: Rosie Aldridge\nCherubino: Emily Pogorelc\nDon Basilio: François Piolino\nDon Curzio: Colin Judson \nLondon Philharmonic Orchestra\nThe Glyndebourne Chorus \nOne wedding; one marriage on the rocks; one scheme; one day. \nWhen a womanising aristocrat tries to seduce his valet’s pretty young fiancée\, his wife and servants conspire to teach him a lesson in fidelity he’ll never forget. Plots are hatched\, promises made (and broken) and disguises donned\, as Mozart’s ‘mad day’ unfolds. \nA revolutionary comedy in every sense\, Mozart and Da Ponte’s adaptation of Beaumarchais’ banned 1778 play about warring masters and servants takes a topical satire and broadens it into a deeply human drama. The battle between both classes and sexes remains sharply bladed\, but the characters themselves are rounded by some of Mozart’s most sparkling music into feeling\, fallible and all too familiar personalities. \nDirector Michael Grandage updates the action to the dying days of Spain’s Franco regime in his 2012 production. Giancarlo Andretta and Nicholas Carter conduct.

SUMMARY:Niece 2 in Peter Grimes
DESCRIPTION:Opera in three acts and a prologue by Benjamin Britten (1945) \nComposer Benjamin Britten · Text by Montagu Slater based on the poem by George Crabbe  \nIn English · With Subtitles in German und English \nConductor: Edward Gardner  \nProduction: Stefan Herheim \n  \nPeter Grimes: Stuart Skelton  \nEllen Orford: Rachel Willis-Sørensen  \nBalstrode: Iain Paterson  \nAuntie: Claudia Mahnke  \n1. Nichte: Lindsay Ohse  \n2. Nichte: Emily Pogorelc  \nBob Boles: Kevin Conners  \nSwallow: Brindley Sherratt  \nMrs. Sedley: Jennifer Johnston  \nRev. Horace Adams: Paul Groves  \nNed Keene: Konstantin Krimmel  \nHobson: Daniel Noyola \nBayerisches Staatsorchester \nChorus of the Bayerische Staatsoper \nChildren’s chorus of the Bayerische Staatsoper \nThe opera begins with a showdown – a trial\, which should actually take place at the end. A boy has died\, drowned while fishing with the fisherman Peter Grimes. The circumstances are suspicious\, but evidence for a conviction there is not. The acquittal is ambivalent\, the stigma of being of a violent nature sticks to Grimes – as if the townspeople believe it should be so\, both opponents and friends. Some see an enemy in the outcast\, others the object of their compassion. Grimes is faced with ill will on all fronts\, like Sisyphus. A vicious circle! It was also a life-long concern for Britten: “… the struggle of the individual against the masses. The more vicious the society\, the more vicious the individual.” Everywhere he turns the snare tightens\, until another piece of misfortune seals Grimes’s fate. Britten’s first grand opera is an inexhaustible panorama of interpersonal entanglements\, illustrated by the world of simple coastal folk\, whose seams are only scantily held together. His music penetrates deep into the soul with its tones for the lonesome individual\, the unleashed masses and eternal nature.

Coupled with his magnificence as a real man\, Falstaff’s cunning will come to his aid\, he thinks: He composes identical love letters to Mrs Alice Ford and Mrs Meg Page\, to captivate the ladies’ hearts and therewith also capture their husbands’ fortunes. The two “Merry Wives of Windsor” are\, however\, well able for the pretentious beau\, as the (lyrical) comedy shifts into gear. \nVerdi’s last opera was only his second excursion into the comedy genre. Almost fifty years after his early piece\, Un giorno di regno\, was not a roaring success\, he dared approach the Shakespearean material\, congenially prepared by his librettist\, Arrigo Boito. Falstaff should have spirit\, Verdi wrote Boito\, and he therefore extended the original\, Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor\, with passages from Henry IV (where Shakespeare had Sir John Falstaff appear for the first time)\, didn’t scrimp on the literary references and poetic artifices\, and invented some of the most wonderful tirades in literary history. On his journey of self-discovery\, towards his destiny as chosen deliverer\, Parsifal is accompanied\, not only by the skilful Grail Knight Gurnemanz\, but also by the enigmatic and seductive Kundry\, who opens his eyes to sensuality and extrasensory experience. \nParsifal\, a „Bühnenweihfestspiel“ („A Stage Inauguration Festival Play“)\, was first performed in Bayreuth in 1882. Richard Wagner’s final musical drama addresses wounds which fester both within individuals\, as well as in society as a whole\, before proffering miracle remedies with the ability to ease the pain.latest Running Sneakers | Nike

And yet this is also a tale of hardship\, hunger and the desire for abundance with a clear moral: “When the need is greatest\, God the Lord puts out His hand!“ \nAnd\, in Richard Jones’ opulent\, brilliant setting\, it’s a real must!Buy Sneakers | Nike nike air max 1 canvas clay green black dress UV White – Grailify
