DESCRIPTION:Emily Pogorelc makes her Berlin debut singing Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Deutsche Oper Berlin — her first performances in the German capital. Directed by Günter Krämer in a production that has been a cornerstone of the Deutsche Oper repertoire since its 1991 premiere\, the staging conjures two vividly opposed worlds: the nocturnal realm of the Queen of the Night and the sun-drenched temple of Sarastro\, with Tamino and Papageno navigating primeval forests populated with lions\, rhinoceroses\, and serpents along the way. Tomáš Netopil conducts the Orchester der Deutschen Oper Berlin. \nPogorelc is joined by tenor Kieran Carrel as Tamino\, bass Nicolai Elsberg as Sarastro\, soprano Maria Sardaryan as the Queen of the Night\, and baritone Padraic Rowan as Papageno. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCast:\nPamina — Emily Pogorelc\nTamino — Kieran Carrel\nQueen of the Night — Maria Sardaryan\nSarastro — Nicolai Elsberg\nPapageno — Padraic Rowan\nPapagena — Sophie Salvesani\nMonostatos — Burkhard Ulrich\nSprecher — Vincenzo Neri\n\nConductor — Tomáš Netopil\nProduction — Günter Krämer

SUMMARY:Rossini Stabat Mater with Radio Filharmonisch Orkest at TivoliVredenburg
DESCRIPTION:mily Pogorelc makes her debut with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest\, the Groot Omroepkoor\, and Utrecht’s TivoliVredenburg\, joining conductor Edward Gardner for an evening of Rossini’s Stabat Mater — a work that transforms the medieval prayer for the grieving Virgin Mary into something closer to lyric opera\, with soaring vocal writing that sits at the intersection of devotion and drama. The concert\, part of the AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert series\, is broadcast live on NPO Klassiek radio and streamed online. It is programmed alongside Busoni’s Berceuse élégiaque and Strauss’s Tod und Verklärung\, placing Rossini’s luminous score in an evening-long meditation on mourning and transcendence. \nPogorelc is joined by mezzo-soprano Ekaterine Buachidze\, tenor Edgardo Rocha\, and bass Giorgi Manoshvili. \n\nSoloists: \nSoprano — Emily Pogorelc \nMezzo-soprano — Ekaterine Buachidze \nTenor — Edgardo Rocha \nBass — Giorgi Manoshvili \n  \nConductor — Edward Gardner \nRadio Filharmonisch Orkest \nGroot Omroepkoor

SUMMARY:Rossini Stabat Mater at the Royal Concertgebouw (House Debut)
DESCRIPTION:Emily Pogorelc makes her debut at the Royal Concertgebouw\, one of the world’s most celebrated concert halls\, joining conductor Edward Gardner and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra for a Sunday morning performance of Rossini’s Stabat Mater. Presented as part of the Concertgebouw’s Sunday Morning Concert series just two days after the same ensemble’s Friday performance at TivoliVredenburg\, this concert focuses solely on Rossini’s score — stripping away the surrounding program to place the work in full relief. In Rossini’s hands\, Mary’s grief over her crucified son becomes something operatic and expansive\, threading moments of intimate contemplation through music of genuine dramatic sweep. The National Radio Choir brings particular expertise to this repertoire. \nPogorelc is joined by mezzo-soprano Ekaterine Buachidze\, tenor Edgardo Rocha\, and bass Giorgi Manoshvili. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSoloists:\nSoprano — Emily Pogorelc\nMezzo-soprano — Ekaterine Buachidze\nTenor — Edgardo Rocha\nBass — Giorgi Manoshvili\n\nConductor — Edward Gardner\nRadio Philharmonic Orchestra\nNational Radio Choir

SUMMARY:Despina in Così fan tutte at Royal Opera House (House & Role Debut)
DESCRIPTION:Emily Pogorelc makes her Royal Opera House debut as Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte — also her role debut in the part — in a new production directed by Netia Jones\, Associate Director of The Royal Opera\, in her own Main Stage debut. Jones\, renowned for her inventive use of digital media\, reimagines Mozart’s comedy of manners through a sharply contemporary lens\, where 18th-century romantic trickery collides with high-tech deceit: a production that finds new sting in a work that has been scandalising audiences since 1790. Thomas Hengelbrock conducts the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. \nPogorelc joins a stellar cast led by soprano Louise Alder as Fiordiligi\, mezzo-soprano Simone McIntosh as Dorabella\, tenor Mingjie Lei as Ferrando\, baritone Huw Montague Rendall as Guglielmo\, and bass-baritone Gerald Finley as Don Alfonso. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCast:\nDespina — Emily Pogorelc\nFiordiligi — Louise Alder\nDorabella — Simone McIntosh\nFerrando — Mingjie Lei\nGuglielmo — Huw Montague Rendall\nDon Alfonso — Gerald Finley\n\nConductor — Thomas Hengelbrock\nProduction — Netia Jones\nSet Design — Hyemi Shin
