Emily Pogorelc returns to the Metropolitan Opera to reprise one of her signature roles, singing Pamina in Mozart’s beloved The Magic Flute in Julie Taymor’s iconic holiday production. This abridged, English-language staging has become a cherished New York tradition, enchanting audiences of all ages with its dazzling puppetry, vibrant costumes, and the timeless magic of Mozart’s score. Pogorelc is joined by frequent collaborator baritone Rolando Villazón as Papageno, tenor Piotr Buszewski as Tamino, and bass Morris Robinson as Sarastro, under the baton of conductor Nicholas Carter.
