Generously funded by the Lynne Cooper Harvey Foundation, this award is a monetary scholarship of $10,000, as well as a free three year membership in MCW and includes future MCW performance opportunities. Emily steps into the role of Cunégonde, replacing Kathryn Lewek, in Washington National Opera’s production of Bernstein’s “Candide.” Directed by Francesca Zambello, the production was first seen at the Glimmerglass Festival in 2015.
